There’s something incredibly tender about the very first days of life. Tiny fingers. Quiet stretches of sleep. A brand-new world unfolding one breath at a time.
At Little Buddha, we’ve always believed that every baby deserves a soft beginning. That belief is what led us to our recent donation to Hoag Hospital. We have the hope that they would bring comfort, warmth, and a small reminder of care during those precious first moments.
Each beanie was handcrafted with love and intentionally made to be gentle on delicate newborn skin. They were made to simply be there. Soft. Calm. Supportive. Just like a village should be.
Why This Matters to Us
As mom ourselves, we know how emotional those early days (and especially those first hours) can feel. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, the newborn stage is filled with a mix of wonder, exhaustion, joy, and vulnerability. Something as small as a soft hat can feel grounding in those moments. It can feel like a quiet hug.
Giving back in this way is deeply rooted in who we are as a brand. Little Buddha was built around the idea that softness matters. Not just in the clothes babies wear, but in how we show up for families and our community.
More Than a Donation
This donation is part of our ongoing mission to support families beyond our products. We’re honored to play even a small role in welcoming new life into the world, and we’re grateful to Hoag Hospital for the work they do every single day to care for parents and babies during such an important chapter.
Our hope is that each beanie finds its way onto a tiny head at just the right moment, offering warmth, comfort, and a gentle start. We believe every newborn deserves a soft beginning.
A Full-Circle Moment
This donation is especially meaningful for our co-founder, Lauren, because Hoag Hospital is where her own motherhood journey began over seven years ago. It’s where she first held her baby, felt the overwhelming mix of love and fear that comes with becoming a parent, and stepped into a role that would forever change her life.
Returning to Hoag Hospital in this way felt like a full-circle moment. What once was a place of support during her most vulnerable days has now become a place where she can give something back, even in a small way. She will never forget the support and care she received there, and being able to pay it forward means everything.
Donating these beanies wasn’t just about providing warmth. It was about honoring the beginnings. The quiet hospital rooms. The sweetest newborn snuggles you'll never forget. The first days that feel both fleeting and unforgettable.
With love,
Little Buddha 🤍
